Abstract: This book is about Dominique, a young boy who is wounded as the book begins. He is with his father, who is a hunter, in their small hut and he starts to hear a horn blowing. He has also seen a white swan flying, and wants to know what these things mean. His father hides the meaning of these things and also of what has happened to the boy's mother until a priest comes to see them in their need and brings with him some answers.
