Abstract: The Picture Alphabet contains on each page a verse from the Old or New Testament that begins with a specific letter of the alphabet (except "x," which is the second letter), the appropriate letter in lower and upper case, a four-line poem that explains the verse in terms a child can understand, and an illustration. After the "Z" page, there are two poems of a religious nature that are directed toward children.
