E.B. Maranan E. B. Maranan writes poetry, plays, essays and short stories. He has won 26 literary prizes and a Hall of Fame citation from the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, and more than a dozen other prizes from other competitions such as the CCP Annual Literary Contest and the Phillipine Board on Books for Young People-Alfredo Navarro Salanga Writer’s Prize. A former assistant professor at the University of the Philippines Asian Center in Diliman, Quezon City, he taught Philippine Studies for ten years before leaving for London in 1993 to join the staff of the Philippine Embassy as the Foreign Information Officer. |
